Our 2001 Estate Merlot is another beautiful, full bodied and complex Merlot from our Rutherford vineyard. The nose displays hints of black cherry, cedar and mocha aromas. Consistent with the nose, this wine displays prominent, bright cherry, red fruit and blackberry flavors, complemented by a hint of oak and spice to provide an elegant, silky finish. Twenty-two months of barrel aging in the finest French oak barrels complements the wealth of intricacies found in this thick and structured Merlot.
